Hunger Awareness Week (HAW) is a week-long campaign which takes place from 17th March 2012 to 24th March 2012 at University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC).
Orange is the official color for the Hunger Awareness Week (HAW) as it symbolizes hunger awareness.
A series of events are scheduled throughout the week to provide UNMC students and staffs a better understanding of world starvation crisis and inspire them to take actions by volunteering and donating in order to bring UNMC one step closer to end world hunger crisis.

Is been more than half a year that we planed and prepared the Hunger Awareness Week Events starting from last October 2011. I'd still remembered that I applied for the Event Manger post ,and went through the interview session, but at last I got the post ~ I'm the event manager for the Hunger And Poverty Talk! =)
"We Need You" Night !
We Need You Night is a night to share and talk about the hunger crisis and how we students can be part of it. It is also a night to MAKE A DIFFERENT! It was an awesome night with awesome performances !
There are Balloons Competitions & ' From Hunger to Hope' events that will take place for four continuous days.
For Balloons Competitions, students will POP the balloons and they have to answer the questions given in the balloon and even if the answer is right or wrong, whey will be given a chance for a lucky draw for amazing goodies!
' From Hunger to Hope' is open to everyone to write down their thoughts on hunger an poverty, and tie it on the tree branches.
Aside from having fun facilitating these activities, the main purpose is to raise awareness among students about the hunger crisis around the world!

Relay Against Hunger!

| Prepare to run~ |
The Relay Against Hunger is a 5km charity run to raise funds to purchase dry ingredients that will be packed and sent to those that are facing severe hunger in Malaysia. Among the activities that will be happening along with the run would be the opening ceremony, that will officiate the starting of Hunger Awareness Week .

"Hunger And Poverty" Talk !
Hunger and Poverty Talk is presented and shared by Dr Mohammed Ikram bin Mohamed Salleh from Mercy Malaysia. The objectives of this talk is to understand the effects of global malnutrition and an introduction towards world starvation crisis.

"Meals Packaging" Event !
Meals Packaging is one of the biggest event of Hunger Awareness Week. Our targeted meals 10,000 meals. We packed the dry ingredients such as grains, dehydrated vegetables, flour into concealed pack.
